What is “Bak Kut Teh”?

Suddenly “Bak Kut Teh Halal” becomes an issue now. JAKIM argued that Bak Kut Teh cannot be halal because the name itself is not halal.
Sigh…..another typical example of Malaysian authority – jump the gun before understanding an issue properly.
“Bak Kut Teh” is a Hokkien name, “bak” is meat, “kut” is bone, and “teh” is tea. What is so “haram” about the name?
